CursorXP theme

Dec 24, 2004 4:35 PM by Discussion: New Releases
This forum seems a bit empty, so I thought I'd add my latest CursorXP theme here and give it a bit of pimping
Click on the preview image to see a full sized preview, or goto here http://woodbridge.wincustomize.com/viewskin.aspx?skinid=1276&libid=25&comments=1&SID=44&UID=252102 to see the CusorXP in more detail. Hope you like it.

Merry Christmas all.

For the past 2 days I've been having problems with the WC libary. The site graphics are fine, but the mini previews in the libary are showing the wrong previews, not just for a couple but for all of them. Plus, I've just uploaded two DesktopX files - one widget and one object. The Object won't even upload, and the widget has uploaded but isn't showing up in the newest additions list. I'm just wondering if the problems are related to the new WC v4 site or if its just me/my ISP etc.

We have analog clocks, digital clocks and binary clocks (evil things) but I've yet to see a fuzzy clock. Whats a Fuzzy clock? take a look at this http://www.gizmodo.com/archives/word-clock-017495.php and see

I don't normally make requests, especially about DesktopX clocks (they are ten a penny) - now normal clocks with hour and minute hands I can do, but I don't have the first clue how to turn 16:45 into text that says "its a quarter to five". Would some kind and clever soul *cough*_Martin_*cough* care to weave their magic and make a simple DesktopX widget/object that functions like this? Pretty please

After a nasty HardDrive crash I've had to reinstall Windows (don't worry the important files were backed up)

The trouble is I've now forgotten what the wb.ini were set to. Specifically what the setting is to force small toolbars to be skinned (like the SkinBorwser Updates window).

OK, currently I have subscriptions to Object Desktop, Wincustomise Sub, CursorXP and Drengin.net. They are all subscribed under different emails. I've just changed ISP's so now I have a new email address (but I can still use my old emails but I don't know for how long) What do I need to do to get all the subscriptions going under one email address?

Who do I tell and what info should I give them?

Neowin.net has closed down due to bandwidth issues (sound familiar?) I visit the site quite alot but I didn't see this coming.

Neowin is closed for now.

We don't have the capacity to support the type of site we have always wanted to bring to our visitors. Despite our best efforts we are still refusing our visitors and long term members the web site due to errors similar to "Server too busy"

Since Neowin will never be just another phpnuke or copycat wannabe tech site we would rather call it a day than continue to limp on our resources. So for now we opt for closure.

There is a cool looking, original, StyleXP theme over on Neowin (http://www.neowin.net/bboard/showthread.php?s=&threadid=39061&perpage=15&pagenumber=6 - big screenshot at bottom) it is also posted on DA (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation.php?id=505247) its called 'tom tom'. I would dearly love to see somebody get permission to do a port of it to WindowBlinds. I had tried to do a personal port but it turned out....well... I really am no good at putting together a wb skin. He has asked if someone would be willing to port it (see the comments on the DA link)Its crying aout for custom colour support to.

I'm sorry if asking for a port isn't 'the done thing' but i thought if I don't ask it may never happen.

Just out of curiosity, are you still working on that 8-Ball skin, I remember you saying that is was similar to the MMX mercury skin for the Mac.

I also seem to remember that you get alot of email from people that want things from you and they neglect to say please and thank you.

Please could you give an update on how the skin stands at the moment?

Thank you.
